Some of my earliest memories involve bikes. From the wee blue trike in nursery to building jumps in my back garden with my brothers, riding until dark and trying my best to stay upright. Riding bikes turned into a way of life.
I raced for over 25 years at varying points of my life, starting when I was 8 years old, and only stopping when injuries took their toll. I was proud to be part of the Scottish team, travelling and racing internationally. I was Scottish champion a number of times, UK number 2 and once placed in the top 10 at a World Championships.
After racing I was the chairman of my local cycling club and helped out mentoring some younger riders whilst racing as a master then latterly as a veteran. While I don't compete regularly anymore I still ride on a daily basis and hope I can encourage as many people as possible to do the same.
More to the point, in 2008 I got my first job in the bike trade as an area sales manager for a well known UK bike brand. I worked for almost 10 years in the industry, moving to another company where I really learnt the trade, bike trends and generally gained knowledge from the trades perspective. This is where I saw the evolution of electric bikes, from the earliest models with wires hanging out to where they are now, sleek, contemporary and dare I say, sexy ebikes.
When you shop at love-ebikes you will have the same point of contact every time, myself, so you don't need to hope the sales assistant you spoke to last time is working. One of the biggest differences with my shop is that I will be there every single day to give you a personal service that I believe most shops just can't offer. I eat, sleep and live bikes, now ebikes. I believe my knowledge and experience is second to none with ebikes and I look forward to assisting you with getting the right bike for your needs. I want to make sure you have the best experience and get exactly what you want with some of the best bikes money can buy. So pop in for chat and I hope I can show you how fantastic and fun ebikes are, whatever your age is.
I look forward to seeing you soon, Scott.
